Marthalee currently serves as the Access and Disability Program Manager for Starbucks where she leads disability initiatives and strategic planning, collaborates and advises business units on universal design and access, manages interpreter services and designs and implements training programs on disability and access. Marthalee is a grassroots, disability community advocate who has worked in the rehabilitation and non-profit worlds for over 20 years. She is a nationally certified American Sign Language interpreter with specialist skills in Braille and tactile interpreting (for people who are Deaf-Blind). Marthalee is a Board member of the US Business Leadership Network and the Northwest Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center. She is also a member of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and an honorary member of Washington State Deaf-Blind Citizens. Throughout her career, she has been involved with the Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities, Centers for Independent Living, the National Interpreter Education Project, and Special Olympics.
