Melinda Evans, Human Resources Director, has over 20 years of service with CSC [www.csc.com] and is a member of the Global Employment Management Department. She directs CSC’s Global Diversity and Compliance Programs and is the Project Director for the CSC Global Diversity Council (GDC). Ms. Evans’ responsibilities encompass all facets of human resources management including programs, policies and systems that supports CSC’s global diversity and compliance efforts. With an extensive background of diverse human resources experience, she is recognized as the subject matter expert within CSC regarding United States (U.S.) Equal Employment/Affirmative Action laws, statues, executive orders, and regulations. She oversees all CSC employment related activity and interaction with the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). Ms. Evans represents CSC as a member of the U.S. Office of Disability Employment Policy’s (ODEP) Circle of Champions. Her previous 19 years of professional experience covers a wide array of human resources disciplines and includes work with the United Way, Maryland School for the Blind and representing her employer at various State and Federal events.
As an active volunteer in the community, Ms. Evans has served as the Chair of the Anne Arundel County Personnel Grievance Board at the request of the Honorable Janet Owens, previous County Executive of Anne Arundel County and she was a member of the Maryland State Dental Board appointed by former Governor Parris Glendening and confirmed to continue under Maryland’s Governor Robert Erhlich. She was appointed to the President’s Council for the Employment of Individuals with Disabilities and, at the request of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Ms.Evans played an active role on the Committee tasked with selecting the federal government employees to fill leadership position for DOT’s Disability Center. She was selected by Maryland’s former Secretary of State, the Honorable John Lewis, to coordinate event activities for National Association of Secretaries of State conference hosted by Maryland. Ms. Evans is a Leadership Prince George’s graduate (this state- wide recognized program enhances individual leadership skills by providing an intense one year training program that promotes community responsibility at the individual level). She received the Prince George’s County Chief’s Award (the highest award bestowed by the Prince George’s County Police Department) for her service in raising funds for disadvantaged children in the county.
